The Starchild Skull and the Twin Towers

The Starchild Skull and the Twin Towers is an independent short film by Neil Geddes-Ward featuring Andrew Johnson and myself. See here for the film: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e_P-8rq2saU.
In the programme, we discuss a strange skull that appears to have non-human features. Also the destruction of the World Trade Centre on 9/11. What really happened and why is the truth still being covered up?
See here for Neil's previous film in which I interview Andrew: http://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.co.uk/2016/01/ufos-abductions-and-911_20.html. Andrew's website: http://www.checktheevidence.co.uk/cms/. EU Referendum Date Announced

It has been ten months since our fearless leader David Cameron renewed his place in office, see: http://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.co.uk/2015/05/general-election-result.html. In his election manifesto he pledged a binary in-out referendum on Britain's membership of the European Union. This was because he needed to head off the UKIP voters; and also because he thought his new term would continue his coalition with the Liberal Democrats, allowing him a way to conveniently welsh on his commitment. To his dismay, he has won a majority government and so cannot wriggle out of his promise to "let the people decide" the country's place in Europe. But as Henry Kissinger said: "This is too important to let the people decide!" Cameron is now going to scavenge a whole attic full of dirty tricks to get what he wants while insisting that "the people have spoken and I have listened!" He has spent the last few months in Brussels "renegotiating" the UK's EU membership conditions in order to make an In vote look more appealing. This is the equivalent of the devo-max bribe that the Scottish people were offered to stop them voting for independence; by electing to stay in the UK they were offered a maximum devolved government in exchange. I hope nobody falls for the same scam twice in as many years. That is one of many parallels between the Scottish independence referendum and the upcoming EU one, see: http://hpanwo-radio.blogspot.co.uk/2014/09/programme-104-podcast-scottish.html.

The European Union is made up of twenty-eight "member states", meaning formerly sovereign lands that have joined it. The EU never refers to its constituents as "nations" or "countries" which in itself is very revealing and sinister. It has expanded in size, gathering new members, as of 2013 stretching from Ireland to Cyprus; with a population of half a billion. Its origins are shrouded in mystery and obfuscation. It has developed incrementally through a set of pacts relating to trade, defence and travel, all portrayed as unrelated and self-contained, beginning in 1948 with the Treaty of Brussels. It is clear that there was an underlying long-term strategy behind all these accords, and this brings us onto the justification for the EU. The biggest argument against a new referendum is that the British people have supposedly already decided to be in the EU because of the vote we had in 1975 in which we agreed. It's true that there was a referendum in 1975, but it was over Britain's membership of the EEC, the European Economic Community. This was essentially a free trade zone. The Prime Minister Edward Heath had entered the UK into the EEC two years earlier so the referendum was also a retrospective one. This was before the Maastricht Treaty and the transformation of the EEC into the European Community and then eventually the European Union. In 1975 the British people were given no hint that their choice would eventually lead to them entering a political federation (although Tony Benn warned us about it, see: http://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.co.uk/2014/03/tony-benn-dies.html). The EU is little different in form to the United States of America or any of the other federations of the world. In fact in some ways Nevada has more independence from the Federal US government than the Netherlands does from the European commission. The only reason we don't all use the Euro as our currency is because of the resistance a lot of the people have shown, especially in the UK. However, the EU has forced us all to abide by the metric system of measurements. I remember when all British retailers were obliged by law to sell goods in grams and kilograms. Pounds and ounces were banned, even though British people have used imperial measurements for all our history and words like "foot", "inch", "mile" etc are ancient native English terms; very different to the French-derived metre, gramme etc. I remember a shopkeeper in a small village was fined heavily and even threatened with prison when he resisted. The EU regulators have set about making Europe a no-go area for traditional herbal medicine and organic food. They have imposed taxes, levies, reforms and caps on national imports and exports of everything from wine to sausages. Red Leicester cheese almost lost its unique colour because carotene, the agent used, was banned by the "Eurocrats". They're all set to impost the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership too, see: http://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.co.uk/2015/01/oxford-ttip-meeting.html. At the moment opinion polls are finely balanced with a large undecided pool; exactly as it was in Scotland in 2014. During the next four month we are going to see the authorities go overboard with scaremongering. They're going wheel out every big gun of fear to try and convince us Britain will return to the dark ages in we leave the EU. As a last resort they will simply fix the ballot. British elections always work the same way. There is just a single day to vote, called "polling day" and the electorate vote by putting a cross on a piece of paper. This in itself is sinister because the cross is traditionally the signature of the illiterate, the serf, the fool. The count begins on polling day as soon as the polls close at about ten PM. This means that the vote-counters work through the night. Why not wait until the next day and count the votes then? Because as I've written about before, it is unnatural for humans to be awake and night and we are always drowsy, more suggestible and lose alertness, see: http://hpanwo-hpwa.blogspot.co.uk/2014/11/shiftwork-health-risks.html. Therefore any tampering with the count for the purposes of rigging the election becomes much easier, This incriminating footage was taken during the independence vote in Scotland during the count, see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MZRYVE4naHc. As none other than Joseph Stalin said: "It is enough that the people know there was an election. The people who cast the votes decide nothing. The people who count the votes decide everything." I'm surprised at how Cameron has announced the date of the referendum with such short notice. Thursday the 23rd of June, just four months away. Why? Perhaps he hopes to steamroller through and get the result he wants before the Out campaign have got their act together. As the establishment position, the In camp will be far better funded and organized than the Out one. With a currently ambivalent electorate, it will not take much pressure to knock them off the fence. Also there are predictions of another financial crash looming, "the Big Drop" as it has already been dubbed. Cameron will be scared that if he delays we might end up voting in the middle of it and that might influence us away from the Eurozone.
If this were a free and fair election then the Out tendency would win hands down, but it will not be fair. Sadly we have a population that has proven to be very vulnerable to manipulation and intimidation by authorities who are experts at psychological warfare; not to mention the means to commit electoral fraud. The only chance we have is if every conspiratorially-aware person spends all night at the polling stations watching the counts with cameras on the room. Personally I am the ultimate Out-er. I think Britain should leave the European Union completely and immediately. I would even say that having a referendum is wrong because the UK's entry into the EU was an act of treason. You can't have a referendum on treason. You just tear up the membership papers and jail those responsible. I wouldn't describe myself as a nationalist, but it's a fact that the nation state has functioned as the basic unit of geopolitics very well for centuries, and the modern trend is towards abolishing it should concern us all, no matter what our beliefs. I hope the people have the will to resist, yet the path to independence will be rougher and steeper than even getting through this referendum. One of the most unusual events in British history was the dismissal of the Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher from office because of her refusal to enter Britain into the European Exchange Rate Mechanism, the precursor to the Euro. This was essentially a bloodless coup-d'├ętat. This shows how important the EU is to the powers-that-be. The formation of a one-world government can be done in several ways, but one method they seem to prefer, to cite Joseph Stalin again, is the two-stage model. First there would be giant super-states covering whole continents; and only after that would they be amalgamated into the New World Order. George Orwell also warns us of this in his book 1984. In the story the world is divided between the blocs, Oceania, Eurasia and Eastasia. This is why if the vote is to leave the EU, Britons must be prepared for more struggle. To what lengths would the elite not go to hold their embryonic world federation together? They might impose economic sanctions on an independent Britain... which Cameron would of course then claim were not deliberate, but were the inevitable economic consequences of leaving the EU. Maybe they would try to kick us back inside with a trade embargo, perhaps even war. I have no doubt that an alert and steadfast population can scupper the agenda for a New World Order, but we must be prepared for some bad days ahead.

Richard Dawkins has Stroke

Richard Dawkins has suffered a stroke. It was very quiet and undramatic as strokes often are. He was sitting down at his home in Oxford last Friday when he suddenly found that his left arm wouldn't move properly. He tried to stand up, but fell to the ground. He managed to phone his wife in London and she alerted their neighbour who called an ambulance. He was taken to my old hospital, the John Radcliffe, where he was given a scan which revealed he had had a haemorrhagic stroke in the right basal ganglion, the part of the brain that governs movement of the left side of the body. Luckily the part of his brain that Dawkins values the most, the organs of higher cognition, was unharmed. He was kept in the neuroscience ward over the weekend and was then sent home. He is expected to make a full recovery. For the time being though his manual dexterity is hampered. He has a lot of trouble with buttons which he's used to fastening with his left hand. He's even joked about going to live with the Amish people where buttons are banned for religious reasons. Unfortunately he's had to cancel his upcoming tour of Australia and New Zealand. As always, controversy has followed Dawkins even to his sick bed. The Revd Arun Arora, the Church of England's head of communications, has been criticizing for Tweeting that Christians should pray for Richard Dawkins, despite him being the world's most famous atheist. Some of Dawkins' fellow atheists interpreted the call to prayer as sarcastic and gloating. The church maintains that it was intended sincerely and I think it almost certainly was, see: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3446628/Church-England-accused-TROLLING-stroke-hit-atheist-author-Richard-Dawkins-ask-believers-pray-him.html. Something similar happened when Christopher Hitchens first fell ill. Richard Dawkins has recorded a short podcast in which he speculates what might have caused his stroke. He has suffered from high blood pressure for a while, a known risk factor in strokes. The doctors also asked him if he's experienced any stress recently; and of course he has, as I reported myself a few days ago, see: http://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.co.uk/2016/02/richard-dawkins-banned.html. He specifically mentions the "Tweetgate" incident. He felt very distressed at being banned from appearing at NECSS. Interestingly the morning of the day his stroke happened, Dawkins received a very gracious letter from the NECSS management committee announcing that they'd changed their mind about their decision to no-platform him. They apologized and reissued their invitation. This delighted Dawkins, see: https://soundcloud.com/user-733970241. Rebecca Watson so far has expressed no remorse for her treatment of Dawkins, but released a short statement on her blog wishing him a recovery, see: http://skepchick.org/2016/02/richard-dawkins-suffers-stroke/. I can only join her in hoping Prof. Dawkins gets well soon. All the best to his wife and family too. "Social Justice Warriors" are an utterly ruthless bunch. Seeing as they are a product of cultural Marxism in all its materialistic amorality, that is to be expected. They felt no shame when they made Dr Ian Taylor weep on live TV, see: http://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.co.uk/2014/11/sexist-comet-shirt.html, nor when they banned Alison Tieman from a comic art convention, see: http://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.co.uk/2015/04/anti-feminist-women-banned.html. I don't expect Rebecca Watson to undergo an overnight conversion after her experience of internet bullying; but if she, or any other SJW, has a shred of humanity left inside them, I hope that the plight of Richard Dawkins will start them on the road to reconsideration. As for Dawkins himself; he remains as atheistically positive as he ever was. He's not about to do a Jill Bolte Taylor, see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UyyjU8fzEYU.

Where is the Spark? by the Porters' Poet

The Porters' Poet has done it again! Here is her latest ditty on a Valentines Day theme is called Where is the Spark? See below. A lot of the skits in the poem are attributed to my talk Energy Politics and UFO's that I gave in Swansea, Wales a couple of weeks ago, see: http://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.co.uk/2015/12/ben-emlyn-jones-live-at-swansea-ufo.html. For background and the previous items from the pen of the Porters' Poet, see: http://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.co.uk/2015/12/seasons-bleatings-by-porters-poet.html. This year for Valentines Day, her partner brought her a copy of the first edition of Rockall! I didn't realize, but there were still a few floating about on Amazon and Ebay. I told that that the second edition is now free online, see: http://hpanwo-bb.blogspot.co.uk/2009/02/rockall-chapter-1.html, but she's still happy with the book.

Richard Dawkins- BANNED!

Apologies for yet another skeptic-ological article so soon after a the last. In a way, the current article is a follow up to this one: http://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.co.uk/2016/02/rebecca-watson-man-made-feminist.html. As I mention in that one, Prof. Richard Dawkins has had his booking to speak at the New England Conference on Science and Skepticism cancelled. NECSS is one of the top skeptic conferences in the world and for them to ban none other than what they themselves describe as their "greatest rock star" is totally unexpected and unbelievable. The NECSS management said it had: "withdrawn its invitation to Richard Dawkins to participate at NECSS 2016. We have taken this action in response to Dr. Dawkins’ approving re-tweet of a highly offensive video. We believe strongly in freedom of speech and freedom to express unpopular, and even offensive, views. However, unnecessarily divisive, counterproductive, and even hateful speech runs contrary to our mission and the environment we wish to foster at NECSS." See: http://necss.org/2016/01/27/a-statement-concerning-richard-dawkins/. The video in question is this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ecJUqhm2g08. Dawkins noted in the Tweet: "Obviously doesn’t apply to the vast majority of feminists, among whom I count myself. But the minority are pernicious." Later on he learned that the characters in the video are not just generic figures. The woman playing the piano is a caricature of a real person, a feminist who led a protest against a men's right conference in Canada and who went on to receive the same kind of abuse as Rebecca Watson, see: http://www.wehuntedthemammoth.com/2013/04/15/canadian-feminist-activist-receives-death-threats-and-other-abuse-after-being-targeted-by-mens-rights-activists/. Dawkins then apologized and deleted the Tweet, but it was too late. A new hashtag war erupted, see: https://twitter.com/thelindywest/status/692461613178290182. This is, of course, just one more battle in the Skeptic Civil War that I describe in the above background link. This incident marks a new escalation of that war. As I've said, atheo-skeptics are very good at maintaining an attractive shop window even when there are cockroaches in the storeroom and the books are blood red. Up till now, there has been virtually no reference in the first-tier skeptic media at all to any trouble at the mill. That has now changed completely in the most spectacular fashion. The mask has slipped and the calm pretence can no longer be maintained. Clearly the NECSS team must have been put under a lot of pressure to take this drastic move. Nobody can now remain neutral in the war and Richard Dawkins has had his flag planted for him, even if he hasn't done it himself. He seems to have made himself an enemy of the feminist-leftist faction of the atheo-skeptic schism unintentionally. He appears a bit clueless and out of his depth. He replied to NECSS: "I woke up this morning to see a public announcement that my invitation to speak at NECSS 2016 had been withdrawn by the executive committee... I wish there had been a friendly conversation before such unilateral action was taken. It is possible I could have allayed the committee members’ concerns, or, if not, at least we could have talked through their objections to my Tweet. If our community is about anything it is that reasoned discussion is the best way to work through disagreements. The science and scepticism community is too small and too important to let disagreements divide us and divert us from our mission of promoting a more critical and scientifically literate world." See: https://richarddawkins.net/2016/01/necss-response/. According to Rebecca Watson, this is not the first time Dawkins has fuelled the ire of her cohorts, and I don't think she means just the "Dear Muslima" comment. She wrote: "Dawkins has long been known for his bizarre, inappropriate, and sometimes downright hateful posts on social media, so it was embarrassing that the atheist and skeptic communities continued to give him a platform... he has continued Tweeting anti-feminist garbage." See: http://skepchick.org/2016/01/necss-dumps-richard-dawkins-over-hate-tweet/. It seems despite his radical neutrality, Dawkins has, in his own naive way, opinions that knock him off the fence.

It's interesting to note that when NECSS described the video as highly offensive, they did not put it in quote marks. This indicates that the status of the video is not disputed, nor is it open to dispute. I personally regard that video as a satire, and a clever one that echoes some of my own criticism of feminism. I don't think appreciating the point it makes automatically trivializes the severity of the personal ordeal of "Big Red" and the criminal threats she received. As I said in the above background link, I take internet bullying very seriously and would defend my most hostile opponent against it. The constant cries of "offensive!", "offensive!" are a worrying symptom of cultural Marxism, as Thunderf00t rightly points out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGTmwyKpz0o. Sargon of Akkad cleverly expands on the theme in this analysis. However, he doesn't go far enough. This is not just political subversion; this is mind control, see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ahD2XMLLAx8. The denouncement of people for breaching politically correct speech codes and hypersensitivity is known as "de-platforming" or "no plaforming". I've covered this many times, and a few years ago there was even a half-hearted attempt to do it to me in Birmingham, see: http://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.co.uk/2015/02/marine-le-pen-at-oxford-union.html. The thing is, the atheist and skeptic movements have been linked to cultural Marxist fifth column organizations since day one. One of the most prominent activists for American atheism in the twentieth century was Corliss Lamont, and he was also an architect of much of the structure of modern anti-theist culture. He wrote about humanist namings and weddings long before most the members of the British Humanist Association were born or married. Steve Trueblue has more information in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CCwr0AMJZGI. Are we witnessing the endgame of the Skeptic Civil War in which the cultural Marxists take over? With anybody other than Richard Dawkins becoming a casualty, I would doubt it. As for Richard Dawkins, he is a big enough hitter to get on with his mission without NECSS. He could probably organize his own conference that's bigger than theirs. If anything, it's NECSS who need him. Another reason to grasp how significant their action against him was.

Cosmic Whistleblowers- a review

In November on HPANWO Radio I interviewed Simon Sharman, a film maker who had just premiered his documentary Cosmic Whistleblowers, see: http://hpanwo-radio.blogspot.co.uk/2015/11/programme-160-podcast-simon-sharman.html. I hoped I'd get the chance to see the film because I couldn't get to the cinema. It will be broadcast on TV sometime soon, but only in a heavily condensed format; however I then learned that the feature cut is now available on pay-per view online, see: https://vimeo.com/ondemand/cosmicwhistleblowers. A release on this platform is not always a good sign; it certainly wasn't with Moonwalkers, see: http://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.co.uk/2016/01/moonwalkers.html, but I still couldn't wait to see it. The film is a personal journey. Simon presents the movie as well as directs it, and he takes us on his exploration to get to the bottom of the Roswell Incident of July 1947. To do this he travels to New Mexico where the event happened and enlists the help of UFOlogists Don Schmitt and Jaime Maussan. He helps them at the crash site trying to dig up new forensic evidence of the shipwreck from the stars that came to grief on that spot almost seventy years ago. He also discovers some exclusive new information from witnesses who were speaking out for the first time, including the granddaughter of Mac Brazel and a member of the aircrew that flew the debris to Wright Field where the AAF Technical Data Section was based. The film contains some excellent diagrams showing analysis of why the official government line on Roswell is nothing but a series of lies, with new lies piled upon old to contribute to the confusion. During one scene Simon gets lost driving round the desolate and barren New Mexico desert. I wonder why this was not an outtake. Could it be because it signifies Simon's own feelings towards the labyrinth at the centre of which lies the truth about Roswell? But can he get past the Minotaur of bureaucratic belligerence and state denial? To find out he then travels to Washington DC and visits some people who are experts in that field of UFOlogy, Stephen Bassett and Richard Dolan. (Steve has been a guest on HPANWO Radio as well many times, for example see: http://hpanwo-radio.blogspot.co.uk/2015/09/programme-153-podcast-stephen-bassett.html). Interestingly both Presidents Barrack Obama and Bill Clinton have spoken about the UFO issue in interviews with the talk show host Jimmy Kimmel and Clinton said that if he had found out the truth he would definitely have told the American people... maybe that's why they didn't tell him.

Simon then gets caught up in a situation that, with hindsight, was a terrible disaster, the infamous "Roswell Slides". I myself have covered this extensively and also ended up deeply disappointed, see: http://hpanwo-radio.blogspot.co.uk/2015/05/programme-136-podcast-roswell-slides.html and: http://hpanwo-tv.blogspot.co.uk/2015/05/ufo-disclosure-2015-roswell-slides.html. Cosmic Whistleblowers gives the viewer a revealing behind the scenes look at the process leading up to this all-or-nothing pageant in the focus of publicity. From his position backstage, having dealt directly with the protagonists involved, it didn't take long for Simon to realize something was amiss; long before the curtain dropped on the photographic slide of a mummified child from the three thousand year old Mesa Verde culture, taken in the late 1940's at the Million Dollar Museum in New Mexico. Then came the spectacular hologram of a walking, living alien modelled from the body in the slides (By then I'd fallen asleep watching the live stream because it was 5 AM in my country). Simon's candid camerawork shows that there was conflict and doubt within the Roswell Slides "team" on that anticlimactic evening. Cosmic Whistleblowers is an important historical document for that reason alone. Only by learning from our mistakes can UFOlogy stop repeating them. The Roswell mystery remains. Simon managed to publicize the testimony of witnesses who otherwise might have gone to the grave unheard, but the government remains mute, cryptic and evasive. However, the viewer is left in no doubt that the supposed terrestrial explanations for Roswell are completely false. All in all this is a neat and informative film that I very much recommend. It's well worth £3.49 fee to watch it.

Rebecca Watson- Man-made Feminist

The Skeptic Civil War shows no signs of abating; in fact its sides are deepening and diverging. In 2012 I reported on the event which triggered one of the main battles in that war. Rebecca Watson is a writer and former skeptic radio show host who runs the "SkeptChick" blog, which combines general skepticism with associated feminist and women's interest issues. However her life changed forever when she attended the World Atheists Convention in 2011 in Ireland. After a late night discussion in the hotel bar, one of the men to whom she'd been talking shared a lift with her up to the floors of their rooms. While they were alone together in the lift, he made a completely benign but rather clumsy attempt to seduce her. During her speech later in the conference, Rebecca referred to this incident and said that it made her feel uncomfortable. She addressed the male members of the audience saying: "Guys, don't do that." She said that one of the reasons this incident irked her especially was because she'd recently received internet abuse from non-skeptics. The response from her lecture was very acute indeed; it became known as "Elevatorgate". No less a figure than Richard Dawkins got involved by writing a sarcastic reply to her entitled Dear Muslima that appealed to Rebecca's sense of perceived privilege by comparing her experience to the ordeal of women in Islamic theocracies. Rebecca struck back angrily. She disaffiliated SkepChicks from Dawkins' organizations, the Centre for Inquiry and the Richard Dawkins Foundation for Reason and Science. She is no longer promoting Dawkins' books and other works or taking part in his events, see: http://skepchick.org/2011/07/the-privilege-delusion/. That was just the opening shot. What followed was a flame war of an intensity that I've never seen. I know the Truth movement has its various conflicts, see: http://hpanwo-radio.blogspot.co.uk/2015/12/programme-167-podcast-shill-special.html, but they are mere playful scuffles by comparison. Rebecca Watson received the most extreme hate mail: death threats, threats to rape and mutilate her, threats to torture her, threats to plant a bomb in her house; and this was all from her fellow skeptics. Photographs of dead bodies were sent to her, with an obvious inference; and this modus operadi makes me wonder if these are the same Australian skeptics who tormented Meryl Dorey, see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uKEMPf_DRMg). Very little analysis of the skeptisphere is ever done from the non-skeptic side, so myself and Steve Trueblue were probably the only two who covered this matter from a third party position, see: http://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.co.uk/2012/11/skeptics-troll-their-own.html. It is clear that the skeptic movement is attracting some seriously unhinged people, specifically some young men with major difficulties when it comes to relationships with women. The word "misogynist!" is tossed around very casually nowadays, but these people are some of the few slapped with that label who deserve it. Rebecca said: "The threats were coming from outside of my community. Outside of my safe space. It wasn’t until I started talking about feminism to skeptics that I realized I didn’t have a safe space. When I first got involved with the skeptics, I thought I had found my people... Then women started telling me stories about sexism at skeptic events, experiences that made them uncomfortable enough never to return... (When I gave my opinion) The response from male atheists was overwhelming. This is one example: 'Honestly, and I mean HONESTLY, you deserve to be raped and tortured and killed. Swear I'd laugh if I could!'" Skeptics are able to maintain a good shop window, a veneer of order to conceal the raging chaos beneath, for another example see: http://hpanwo-tv.blogspot.co.uk/2015/01/james-randi-quits-jref.html. And so it was business as usual in the official skeptic media; Rebecca continued to host Skeptics Guide to the Universe and do articles and videos on psychics and anti-vaccination, and barely a word more was said. I know what it feels like to be on the receiving end of an internet hate campaign; for years I have been targeted by "Team Droike", but Droike never said anything as bad to me as what people have said to Rebecca. Also, I'm a big ugly ex-hospital porter; I'm resilient enough to endure this sort of thing. Rebecca is a young unmarried woman who lives alone. One day she wrote: "I wake up every morning to abusive comments, Tweets, and emails about how I'm a 'slut, prude, ugly, fat, femi-Nazi, retard, bitch, and cunt', (just to name a few). I just can't take it anymore."

I am not an advocate of feminism; in fact, as regular HPANWO readers will know, I'm a very harsh critic of it, see the background links below. I've never met Rebecca Watson and if I did I doubt we would get along. However, if I had been in a position to defend her from her flamers, ie: if I were a skeptic myself, I would have done so vigourously. I recently watched a debate between the journalist and men's rights activist Milo Yiannopoulos and some feminists, see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m3_2svKFkE4. I completely agree with what Milo says about feminism, but he is totally wrong about internet bullying. Internet bullying is a very serious matter and it has driven some people to commit suicide. After Steve and I completed our initial work on Elevatorgate, I thought I would check back on Rebecca Watson and see what she is doing today. I was astonished by how much she has changed. Where she used to be a skeptic who brought feminism into her skepticism; today I would say that she is more a feminist who is influenced by skepticism. Her feminism has become much more hard-line. Her YouTube vlog is less light-hearted and tends to feature fewer male guests, see: https://www.youtube.com/user/rkwatson. Her Twitter feed is more scathing, see: https://twitter.com/rebeccawatson. She remains a skeptic on all matters, but will not tolerate any rational criticism of feminism. She has become a very zealous believer in it; once she said: "If you're a male skeptic who doesn't like feminism, you're worse than somebody who rape-threatens!". There is still a Cold War against her of filth in her comments boxes, but she has also been criticized by the more moderate men's rights contingent of the skeptisphere, primarily in the form of Phil Mason, aka "Thunderf00t", see: https://www.youtube.com/user/Thunderf00t/featured, and "Sargon of Akkad", see: https://www.youtube.com/user/SargonofAkkad100. Although I share a lot of F00tie's and Sargon's opinions on feminism, there is a fundamental question they have not asked: Why do you think Rebecca Watson is behaving as she does? The Cherokee Indians have a saying: "Never judge a man until you've walked a mile in his moccasins." Try to see the last few years from Rebecca's perspective. She is a feminist who wants to defend women from abusive behaviour by violent and cruel men. She has suffered a torrent of the most vicious and merciless insults and threats to her very body and life. Are you now seriously trying to convince her that she is making a fuss about nothing and she needs to "stop being a man-hater!" etc? No, F00tie and Sargon. Your general points about feminism are valid, but you need to treat Rebecca with a little more compassion and understanding. I know that becoming aware of feminism can be a hurtful process because it's so obviously there, and wrong. Its brutality, its double-standards, its injustice; these things can so easily drive you into a frenzy when you first wake up to it. This is the stage Paul Joseph Watson (no relation) is in right now I think, see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0la_UwdG15E. But don't get so mad that you stop getting even. How many feminists are actually just "evil bitches!"?, Couldn't some of them simply be instead world-weary victims of very real abuse by truly degenerate men? It never ceases to impress me how many women become men's rights activists in spite of all this. I can't express my admiration for them too much. They have the strength, patience and wisdom of dolphins, see: http://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.co.uk/2014/07/women-against-feminism.html. I don't know if it's possible to repair the damage done by the post-Elevatorgate onslaught; Rebecca may well be lost by now, and I won't condemn her if she is. You male skeptics have missed a valuable opportunity that will never come again. Even if you disagreed with her on feminism, you could have addressed Rebecca's attitude in an understanding, honourable and principled manner, shown her the truth about genuine manhood. Instead even those who did not harangue her with vitriol have still unsympathetically denounced her. You could at least have tried. I know it's not always possible; nothing could have prevented me falling out with my friend "Katie", see: http://hpanwo-voice.blogspot.co.uk/2014/05/a-friend-to-all.html. I still do not apologize for that. A few days ago Richard Dawkins was banned from the upcoming New England Conference on Science and Skepticism; and there'll be more on that later. Rebecca Watson Tweeted: "Well done @necss for taking a stand & dumping the toxic sludge that is Richard Dawkins! Your move, @center4inquiry". What else do you expect her to say? Nobody other than a psychopath wakes up in the morning and says: "Hee hee hee! How can I be evil today?" We more often develop malevolent behaviour as a response to suffering. People are not punch-bags. If we're hit and hit and hit again, we will feel it, and it will change who we are.

It was a lovely evening and I really enjoyed it. The weather was terrible and you can hear on the recording the rain and wind battering the marquee we were in, so I appreciate everybody who braved it to attend.
